In the last three months the obsessed minority of freepers but very vocal who hate President Bush have been bombarding us with every illegal immigration thread under the sun so they have their "BASH BUSH ORGY".
Since these freepers want to deport every illegal immigrant, here is the challenge for you:
Pick up your phone and report to the INS about an illegal immigrant and his employer. I am sure you know at least one illegal immigrant who works in a convenient store, on a gas station, clean the garbage in your office, clean the bathroom at your work place... And I am sure you know one of these employers who hire illegal immigrants. Go ahead Macho Guys, do your duty and report them to the INS. Let us see how courageous you are and let us see your action following your rhetoric.
Go ahead, ping each other and show us your heroism.
You notice that their leaders who usually show up on every immigration thread are just hiding.
I figure they must like it or else they would accept the offer of the Bush administration to train their state and local police to enforce the immigration laws. Bet it wouldn't take them one month to bust all the employers of illegals in the valley. Maybe a week per zip code in Los Angles.
But if they don't care why should I. Send me more cheap food California. And thanks for driving all the companies out with your high taxes. They really pay good for our real estate in Texas.(think its cheap, yuk yuk) And just let us know if you need any electricity.

From my experience, I think they find it a lot more satisfying to inject their input into threads that have nothing to do with immigration. Just toss in a grenade and run for the exits. This thread wouldn't be as much fun, because folks already see it coming.

I think you are right. When the rubber meets the road, they will all run, because they know they cannot do it. However at the same time these Mucho Guys want President Bush to deport 15 million illegal, put them into buses and send then to Mexico.
Did you feel good about it, when you sent the e-mail? Did you tell your friend about it? I am sure if you tell him, he will be no longer your friend.
do you feel good about receiving goods made with at slave wages? Why then do you make fun of people that do?

I had an interesting experience tonight.
I had a fairly long cab ride across Chicago, and was 'treated' the entire trip to a running phone conversation the Pakistani cab driver was having with someone.
The cabbie was doing 99% of the talking, and he most definitely considered himself a top-notch world affairs expert.
From him I learned:
a) Gulf War I happened because the Emir of Kuwait came to the United States and paid America to drive out Saddam.
b) We invaded Iraq to settle a personal Bush family score, for the oil and to spread 'Jewishness'.
c) Our foreign policy is to strengthen India militarily and economically, and to make Pakistan a permanent 'war country'.
d) Clinton was 'nice'.
There was lots more...this guy talked incessantly...but those are a couple of the lowlights.
And in all likelihood, this guy is a legal.
If we're smart, in our discussions about illegal immigrants, we won't forget about the legal ones, and the dangers they could pose.
We have unprecedented illegal immigration, yes, but since the nineties, we have had record levels of legal immigration as well...they rival the huge influxes that we allowed in the last half of the nineteenth century...and the folks they've been letting in don't necessarily assimilate as easily or well as the Irish and Germans and Italians of that era...mainly due to a shared religious foundation and belief and worldview. (Heck, the illegals may fit in better over the long haul than lots of the legals!)
In any case, I think that we as a people need to have a public debate about what are acceptable and managable levels of immigration, and just who it is that we should allow to come here to share the blessings of America.

The Christian illegal immigrant from Mexico is far more better than a Muslim fundamentalist legal immigrant.
