Really, I kind of thought that condemning the maniac based on the ethnicity of his name instead of the horrendousness of his crime to be a little "sheetheadish".

I mean the travesty here was that some suicidal nutcase killed 10 people and injured many others. The travesty was not that he crossed the border illegally and started to apply for day work infront of a HomeDepot!

Yet some people felt that the true crime was a weak border that allows illegals to come into America to kill themselves than chicken out at the last minute....


Although you're right if he was illegal the train accident would have probably been more tragic....

And it would've been Bush's fault...

The fact of the matter is, there were witnesses, and the perp admitted doing this deed. So the issue of his guilt is really not an issue here. Is it?

All I've seen and heard for past two days are people, radio stations etc asking/wondering out loud if this individual was in this country illegally, or not.

Does that make all of these people sheet heads?

Even though his guilt is not an issue here, and never was, if you could post someones quote that condemned this individual because of the ethnicity of his name, I'd like to see it.

The guy's "ethnicitiy" or "race" was never in question --- his immigration status was --- it's still likely he's from the recent immigrant bunch --- and obtained his citizenship the very easy way. Speculating that he just had to be an American citizen hispanic is no less "racist" for those who are quick to bring race into everything. Which many on here are --- they know he's of the "hispanic" race but are quick to jump to the conclusion he's of the old hispanic families that lived in the SW USA for many many generations. That's racism in my mind.
