About the osama t-shirt guy, considering the state of the poor over there (and not knowing, but assuming the guy is not upper class), would he have a variety of shirts available to him from which he selected the osama shirt to wear? Or, is he more likely to just be grateful to have a shirt at all, even one with osama's pic on it?
I find your statement interesting. I was reading about the first Afghan exchange student, a girl, who came here recently, and of course loves the freedom. I can't find a link right now so will just have to quote from memory. She said that before she came here she didn't know who OBL was and found it strange the American kids(teenagers) would ask her about him. She soon found out who he was. I wonder if there are many like her out there? Could this guy not even know who he has on his shirt? Or as you say could he just not care as long as he has a rag to cover himself with?
