"Ahmed said the scene "casts a cloud of suspicion over every American-Muslim family out there."
As well it should.
Reality hurts, and the sad truth is that fifth columnist Muslim cells already exist in the US, with nothing more on their collective minds than blowing us all to kingdom come. Peace-loving Muslims will earn respect when they stand up and pubicly denounce Islamofascism, bin Laden and his henchmen. I am not holding my breath, however.
LOL
It's funny, but 24 isn't making Muslims look bad. Islamists are making Muslims look bad.
It's just disgusting how these groups (like CAIR) think a fictional tv series can do more damage than a nonfictional series of beheading videos, videos of other terrorist attacks, videos of terrorists making threats, etc.
I haven't heard about Iranian TV, but I'm not surprised they put such outrageous ideas out there. For years I've heard an old Arabic tale about Jews using childrens' blood to bake pastries. And Muslims actually believe this crap.
Hmmm. Well, it walks like a duck. It quacks like a duck . . . Maybe it's a . . . cat . . . |
I watched the first season of 24 and thought it was excellent.
I didn't watch anymore because:
A)They refused to address the 9-11 Muslim terrorist issue, which to me was the most relevant topic (as previous posts noted, rich evil white european types are always the terrorists on 24 to maintain political correctness)
B)After you saw the first season, it seemed like every episode was a repeat.....dumb Kim gets taken hostage, Bauer screams "Open the door!.....Open the door!!!" with his gun pointed....it got a bit humorous and redundant.
But, if the real world sleeper cell is this seasons plot, I will give it a go....
Agreed. I missed the first season altogether and only caught the second at the very end and was hooked. I watched the third season from beginning to end and it was a ritual. I would recommend doing what I do and tape it and watch it later when the wife is asleep or doing something else. MUCH more enjoyable when you don't have someone complaining about the violence or asking anoying questions! :)
Seriously, it IS an intense show and is not for the faint of heart. They don't gloss over much and I found my heart racing many times last season as the episodes progressed. A LOT of twists and turns. One of my favorite shows, though and I am not a big Keifer Sutherland fan either.
When Ahmed starts vilifying terrorists without any "buts", I might think about taking him seriously.
if it smells like sh-t taste like s--t then it is ----
Gee, guess we will have to add 24 to the watch list!
Semper Fi
They did something similar with the movie "Sum of All Fears" Instead of islamic terrorists setting of a nuke in the U.S., it was white supremacist neo-Nazis. The movie was changed from the book after protests by CAIR.
C.A.I.R. whine.... so what else is new????
let's take a moment to parse their organization's name
CAIR - Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Implies that there is a need to build relations (bridge the gap) between Islam and America
Implies that one cannot be both Islamic and American
Implies that the two things are mutually exclusive
.....anyway, they said it, I didn't
And if they don't like this, they're really not gonna like what Showtime is doing. Possible new show called The Cell follows a terrorist group living in suburbia, waiting to strike. Don't know if it will ever make it on air, but if it does I'm sure we'll hear a lot more from Ahmed.
Haven't heard anything about it in a while, so who knows. There's more info on The Cell here, but the link is from October.
NEWS FLASH:
It ain't "the scene" doing that.
