True.

He got a good portion of his ideas from dreams and nightmares.

I get my ideas from looking at something and not seeing what everyone else sees.
For some strange reason, a washing machine isn't there to do ouir laundry for us.
It is there solely to feast upon teh laundry.
Missing socks?
They were consumed by the agitating beast.

The dryer is a strange dimensinal portal through which certain types of clothing travel through to unknown parts.

And the telephone is a malignant sentient creature that slowly drains your soul while you're using it.

Comes from having the misfortune to have a surreal imagination.
