And I don't think my initial investment in the betta aquarium would be as much as if I got goldfish.
Betas are cool...they run to the door to meet you when you come in. They will stare at you and make you feel VERY important!
They even seem to understand you like them. Choose the color carefully...I am partial to the blues as they seem to be less hostile than the reds. But the combos are good, too. Let me know if you get one...they are cheap and fun!
