"Santa Stopping by the Woods to Relieve Himself on a Snowy Evening"
I'm so sorry for your loss!! I just lost my Siberian Husky of 13 years, right before Christmas, so I know how you are feeling without Josephine there with you :( May God comfort you and your family!
Y'all got me through an empty night. I didn't sleep much yesterday and the lights are going out. I'll be back later. Thanks again.
Thank You.
It has taken all the fun out of work.
2900. Yea you!
What a beautiful tribute to your companion. I join with others here in prayer for you in dealing with this loss.
Someone else said it, but I'll say it again; "If dogs don't
go to heaven I want to go where the dogs are."Aw, man. So sorry about your good friend, there. :^(
LOL! Welcome, Stag!
JosephineWhen I was 15, we lived in Spokane, Washington and one day in September our family was visiting my aunt in Seattle. We went to a square dance at a farm. They had the dance in a barn. The family that owned the farm had some pups they wanted to give away. They were Cockapoos, and my brother talked my Mom into letting us have one, and his crocodile tears finally worked on her. We found out this one lady got the last one left. But when she saw how disappointed my brother was, she told my Mom that there was NO WAY she would have the puppy knowing how badly we wanted her.
We named her Josie, after the name of the Square Dance Club that had the dance (The Josie-Do's). She was a great pet for us, and she lived a long and very traveled life. She came back to Texas with us in the car and when we went to The Azores in the middle-North Atlantic, we shipped her there. We shipped her back to the States when we came back, too. Dad retired in Fort Worth (Carswell) and they moved out to east Texas where my Dad was born and raised.
For years I had bugged Mom about giving me a baby sister, but she never did. So shortly after we got Josie, I told Mom that I would consider Josie my little sister. :^D
I was heartbroken when the folks called me 16 years later and said she was gone. Losing one's pet is losing your best friend, no doubt.
Thank you sir.
How are things in the great Northwest?
Also freezing. We're being set up for a nice snowfall later this week.
And the stolen election goes on and on. You can see a lot at http://www.soundpolitics.com/. But it's looking more like a revote all the time. Hope to see more of these in the next few days:
How's bayou?
Same old thing...I think I have reached my limit with politics since the election. I find I can no longer stomach/tolerate the mindless babbling of the talking suits, pundits and dems. I find I am yelling 'Shut up' to the TV too frequently and must begin to question my sanity.
Although, I did watch the Twilight Zone marathon over New Years and that was welcome relief. Although every time Rod Serling went into his opening speech about travelling to a new dimension, I kept expecting them to cut to a meeting of the DNC.
Twilight Zone marathon? Dang! I never watch teeeveee, so I didn't even know about it.
yeah, I didn't either.
I turned on the tube and was flipping around and heard Serling's voice so I watched one, which led into another and another and another...I think it went on for like 25 hours.
You are not alone. I almost SHOT my TV last night. And I was just watching Hannity and Colmes.
Ugh Colmes is just annoying and I am starting to think Hannity is just as bad. i agree with his political views, but sheesh, they do not allow enough time for a decent interview on that show and I am not even going to get into the types/depth/strength of the questions asked.
I wish they would replace Colmes with Pat Caddell, at least when he is on a tirade, he gets the spittle flowing like a proper mad dog.
I'm just waiting on CWII at this point. The sooner it gets here, the less my daughter is going to have to worry about fixing later on.
When you have to do 2 epopels work, it is never as good as just doing your own.
Sci Fi channel bought all the Twilight Zones 2 years ago. They do the marathon every new years. I had it on all day!
