So it was worth 600,000 lives to preserve the Union? Esp. when preserving the Union through force when the Confederate states had LAWFULLY and PEACEFULLY seceded was not Constitutional. If you believe that you are just as blood thirsty a tyrant as he was.

Lincoln shredded the Constitution, to be sure. He put the continuation of the federal government above the interests of the people and states. There is no excuse for that.
