if the money only went to military operations that would help lessen my resentment. however, i also dont like seeing our soldiers getting killed because they have to fight in urban combat rather than letting the bombers take care of business.
im not sure if ill be happy if gas prices go down as that might affect my portfolio negatively.
maybe you are right. I like good intellectual debate, but I haven't really heard anything other than liberal talking points--something I learned to pick out very easily after reading Ann Coulter's latest book--I might add.

We live in a different world my friend. This isn't 1942 where you can drop bombs on towns and hope to win wars. The terrorist we are fighting would love for us to kill innocent civilians and so would the many people who hate America--it would add fuel to their fire.

Not that we should put our trust in ANY man, ultimately, but as far as Presidents go you would think we might have learned a lesson or two from George W to play it cool and wait for your enemy to hang himself.

Using tax dollars on national security issues has always been at the very center of conservative thought--I don't know how many times I have to say that. Using money to build up your military and intellegence is not "wasting money." The only people I know who are really complaining about this war and saying it is a failure are liberals--and that is what you are doing, so yeah, I'd say you are a liberal.
But either way, I am enjoying the debate.
our national defense isnt iraqi infrastructure. it isnt training iraqis and paying iraqi salaries. you are playing games now because ive already made clear i support spending for our military but not for iraqs rebuilding.
