I grew up in Omaha. I was just remembering with my mom the blizzard of 1970. We had a snow drift that went up to the 2nd story of our house. I miss being able to walk down the street and here the 'Husker games on the radios in peoples garages. I don't miss the snow.

Spent one winter in the Upper Thumb of Michigan. Marlette. That was enough for this Southern boy. I didn't understand why all the houses had doors on three sides. I found out quick.
I think the hunter should have called the police or game warden when he found him in his deer stand, he had a radio on him and called back to the cabin for backup, I think that was the wrong thing to do, instead of taking actions into his own hands he should have called in the law...""
I live in a rural area. I am only 6 miles from town, about 14 from the actual Sheriff's office. If I called 911, it would connect me with SACRAMENTO, which is 80+ miles away, and the last time I did that when a druggie went theu my horse fencing at 11 PM, it took me awhile to explain to the dispatcher exactly where my COUNTY was. If I have any kind of emergency that requires the law and I have the Sheriff's number i9mbedded in my brain, it still would take AT LEAST 20 minutes for them to arrive, unless one just happened to be in the area.
I suspect that you don't live rural or are also not familiar with how desolate the Northern Woods of Wisconsin can be. Calling the Sheriff to protest a hunter on private property might get a response by next July, as they are busy with other items.

So the story about the fella who approached the Pearly Gates and was met my St. Peter and given the chance to return to earth as absolutely ANYTHING,,, and decided to return as a stud,, and ended up on a snowtire in Minnesota,,, I guess you don't want to hear that story.
Now that was ess tee double-o pee eye dee.
People up here may argue, some may try to get away with trespassing, there may be words between parties over their "territories." But the Number One Golden Rule is NEVER point your gun at another person.
You can bet the hunters up here will never be caught offguard again.
