Check this out. In 1982 I was hanging out at Fanuiel Hall with two pals (we were all about 16 & girls). Well, there were some boys our age dressed up in ruffly shirts and such. We got to chatting with them and they were the high school band playing that night at the Victory Party for Dukakis. I convinced the boys to give us their party pins, because they were dressed like the band and would get in without them. Thus, my pals and I stood in the reception line and met Mike and Kitty. My one friend asked Kerry who he was and he replied "I'm the Lieutenant Governor".... that's weird. Especially, since it did not register that I even met the guy until now. Quite an impression he made on the youth of America in 1982... although when Mike asked us who we came with, I replied, "We're with the band." And I personally would like to believe that they found us rascal party-crashers amusing. Perhaps I'll crash his party tonight. Win or Lose. Who the hell in playing...I might have to chum up with the Boss. {wink}
