Roger that. If you include the various miles of ocean border, then the U.S. has something around 22,000 miles of border.
This is only a couple thousand miles short of the equator. Might as well demand that we "seal" the equator.
Yes, of course we shoud devote more resources to border patrol and protection. I'm all for it. But we should not delude ourselves into thinking that this gives us any sort of protection.
Thing is I don't think we can trust the mexican government that much. They have people all over the place going in and out of that country that they don't really care. If we seal off the mexican border, terrorist would have to go through the airline, a ship, or the canadian border.
Hear hear. We definitely should be doing more than we are. But a false sense of security is worse than no security at all.
Even if it took a million men, it would be worth it. The alternative is to lose our country.
