Free Republic had better be careful on this, and whoever started this thread had better be careful. P & G sued over the lies about them being involved in Satanism..., and WON.

We need to verify that the website actually contains this info.

I am not connected with the P&G company, but I live here in Cincinnati and P&G has a very good record of community involvement and family values. It is also true that they were accused of satanism by their competition and won lawsuits to that effect. They were able to prove that this was false.

I can with confidence submit that this is a false accusation to slander P&G and I think if we want to funnel energy into something we should be funneling energy into making sure that Comrades Kerry and Edwards don't get into the WH.

I went to both websites mentioned in the post. Neither had anything resembling these accusations. The only mention of Proctor and Gamble on the GAYWORK site is a company profile, where the company makes a generic diversity statement, never mentioning sexual orientation or homosexuals.

I couldn't find anything on the other site at all about P&G.

This post reflects, I believe, false information about this company. While P&G, no doubt, hires homosexuals, that puts it on a par with virtually every other corporation in America.

I smell a hoax, and it appears that the AFA has been taken in by false information. Sad.

The suit was against Amway and some particular distributors. Interestingly, Quixtar (what they're calling Amway now) recently saw fit to send around an email to their distributors cautioning them not to spread this rumor. From comments I've seen, most were not even aware of the rumor until they saw the email. Hmm. Why am I reminded of Dan Aykroyd in 1941 explaining step by step how not to fire the 40mm gun?
