I recently had a thread locked :) I consider that a medal, like one of JFK's. What exactly are the ramifications? Many thanx.

So you posted another stupid one line thread to tell us that. Twice and you should be banned.

Well, it means you should have allocated more memory and put in better error trapping.
And a timeout.
To: Brainhose
It means nobody can post to it anymore and it probably happened because it was a duplicate of some sort.
The moderator usually lists a reason.

What exactly are the ramifications?Well, this thread will get locked, and then you'll post another thread congratulating yourself, and then that thread will get locked and you'll post another thread congratulating yourself, and then that thread will get locked ...
Unless, of course, the radioactive sample decays and the poison gas is released, in which case kitty is toast. Unless the moderator locks the thread, in which case the cat is both alive and dead until the moderator unlocks the thread.

BRAINHOSE: Looks to me, like it was the Caption Thread, right?
Short answer: it was a duplicate thread. That's no biggie, it happens.

I was merely asking a question. I didn't realize that a member of the special olympics would respond so quickly.
Who knew that retards had Internet access.

You'd have to give us a link to explain it to you. Usually they get locked because the dog tripped the lock. Do you have OnStar?

Maybe he meant "thread blocking," in which case he probably has a resource contention issue. Could be a nasty case of priority inversion.

Usually they get locked because the dog tripped the lock. See - I don't understand that commercial at all. "Our cars are so poorly designed, your dog will lock your baby in a sweltering car. Fortunately, we can probably use OnStar to get them out before their brains fry."
Other commercials are like "for people who don't have friends, our OnStar representatives will talk to you 24 hours a day."
Don't even get me started on Cortislim - "It would be unethical for us to point to the woman who lost 63 pounds using our product, since people typically lose less than 63 pounds. Nevertheless, aren't we better than those other weight loss products who would point out people who lost 63 pounds, as someone did (lose 63 pounds that is) using Cortislim."
To: Brainhose
Your post No. 10 is a lesson in 'rudeness'.
In fact it's a disgusting remark.
