"However, I do believe Keyes has already indicated to the Pub party in IL that he is running, and is waiting to announce it on Sunday to get the most play (he'll probably appear on one of the talking heads Sunday programs). Plus, if he accepts, he'll probably be buying himself a position as a speaker at the Republican convention (unless all the speaker slots are already filled); that's if the Pubs are smart and give him a platform to speak from and thus enhance his candidacy credentials for the run for senator from IL. Our answer to Obama at the Dem convention. We'll see. Hope I'm right." (My post from last night on the ever so long Keyes thread).
Looks like I was right, no pardons. By the way, where is your sidekick Howlin on this thread. Did she work her fingers to the nub trying to badrap Keyes last nite? Can't type anymore for a while? Well, now we've got Keyes, much I'm sure to your dismay. Oberweiss was no longer a viable candidate due to his making a big issue of illegal immigration in Illinois during the primary. Although I agree with him 100% on this point, it just wasn't going to fly against an opponent like Obama (himself an immigrant). The dems would have gone after him viciously. Also, Oberweiss has flip flopped on abortion, and many didn't trust his true beliefs. Perhaps he'll pop up in some other election, but not this one. Keyes is a much better matchup for Obama. Ok, now you can startup your anti-Keyes rant again on this new thread. Have fun.

I'm sure they will and as a kenote speaker to boot.
This in conjunction with the debates and Alan has a very good chance of mantaining our majority in the senate.
I hope and pray the Party and the President won't abandon Alan.
Petty post and rather uncalled for.But up to your standards.
