I have stated clearly that this will be a tough race, but that it is not an impossible race. Any thinking person who examines the facts will see that this is so, using simple common sense and the simple fact that Republicans have won many statewide races in IL.
But you state over and over and over and over that it is absolutely, categorically IMPOSSIBLE for him to win. And you provide nothing but your own opinion as proof.
Seems to me that it is you who should be posting numbers to back up your certitude.
I'm not sure of anything except that it is well worth fighting for this seat, win or lose.
Obama has been running, including the primary, for what...a year? And he was a prime-time speaker in Boston. How articles have been written about him,how many news reports, how many churches has he been in,and how many get-to-gethers on the South side, etc.?
Keyes is NOT well known to the majority of people in Ill. and he's off to a VERY late start.
There is absolutely NO way that Keyes gets Chicago,Springfield,Evanston,Champaign-Urbana,Hillsdale,Glen Coe,Skokie,Lincolnwood,Wilmette, and on and on.Look at the population figures for the state. That's what I'm doing, combined with what I know of how mushy Republicans are either fence sitting or NOT going to vote for President Bush.Ill. is a VERY difficult state for GOPers this year.
I wish it were otherwise, but all of this "KEYES WILL WIN" ," KEYES WILL EASILY BEAT OBAMA IN THE DEBATES" stuff,is delusional.
