The reason he was not arrested the same night is because he's a superstar any other people would have had their behind in jail. Kobe had been watching the cops across the street, he knew why they were there. He went to them pretending to be cool and he gave himself away.

He likely would not have been indicted in the first place had the sheriff (who is a personal friend of the accuser's family) not jumped the gun and arrested Bryant, without the knowledge of the DA.

the cops don't have to get permission from the DA to arrest someone or to bring them in for questioning...

imagine everytime they pull you over drunk, they have to go talk to the DA....geesh....

you like some others, think you are the judge and jury in this case and only you people know anything....
