Without reviewing the previous diatribe (which I'd really rather not do, actually; the first time through was painful enough!) I get the impression that Contributor Luis has been accused of doing and being all manner of diabolical things, from a pornographer to a "liar", and although I'm not all that well versed in espaniol, I'm not too sure but what someone here seems to think that he's an illeagal immigrant, too.

As to his "being a DU Troll", it may have been suggested - but certainly not by this humble correspondant.
Just on the basis of my limited reading of Mr. Gonzalez, I don't see anything that even approaches a justification of the level of abuse and contempt to which he is being subjected here, much less any cogent reason to believe that any of these vitriolic allegations are in the least wise legitimate.
Since my tenure here with FR I have come to expect and enjoy a modicum of spirited controversy; Lord knows I'm not above taking my canoe paddle and occasionally stirring things up a bit (review my postings if you like)- but I have also come to expect a little civility among FReepers as well.
Pity; but "civility" is a precious social commodity which I find distictly lacking in the better part of this conversation.
In my experience, when such "flame wars" break out on the FR, more often than not it turns out that elements from the "other side" have crept in under cover of darkness (and anonymity) with the covert tactical intent of sowing hatred and discord among us.
Shucks; they do essentially the same thing to our Schools, Churches, Synagogs, and any other institution or organization that they can't readily control, don't they?
How many of these entities have you seen them eventually take over and/or destroy in your Community?
Are they not applying essentially the same tactic in thier quest to dominate American politics and society?
If you have any doubts about that, then check it out and get back to me, won't you?
Now I don't know about ye all, but I for one do NOT want to see that happening to our beloved FR, much less our Nation!
And if Members of this community have been reduced to falling on one another's throats without the dastardly and malicious intervention of our antangonists, then I humbly submit to you that we have developed some serious internal "issues" that we need to examine and deal with...
As rational adults.
Before it's too late, eh?
"Peace" is not the exclusive domain of the left, is it?
And as Conservatives, are WE not the ones who are supposed to be ordering our behaviour on the basis of intellectual excersize rather than emotional impusle?
Isn't that what El RUSHBO keeps telling us?

I read the thread and it looked like there was plenty of shots back and forth...nothing new on FR and Luis can take care of himself. If someone had accused Luis of being a DU troll, I would have pointed that out as well.
