IF you recall the hydrogen bomb tests on bikini, where all the WWII ships were in the bay, the first Hydrogen bomb didnt even capsize most of the ships. They dangled a second Hydrogen bomb some 80 feet below one of the ships to actually sink the fleet. No tsunamis resulted although I believe they were concerned about them.

You are correct. They were all above ground vs underwater.
However, what we are talking about is the completed fracture of the side of an island and it's plunge into deep water. It could be caused by an earthquake or a volcanic eruption from natures side. What I was refering to was the possibility of placing bombs along the present fault line and get the same job done.
All the models estimate a 300+ foot wave slamming into the East Coast @ 500+ mph 9 or so hours after the event.
