I'm sure there are quite a few people who'd like more info on Sean's claims that we were close to "losing a city" this week.
On the other hand, I'm extremely skeptical about this as it strikes me as nothing more than a way to sell $99/yr subscriptions to his "newsletter".
All IMHO. If this were "real", Sean should post it freely so that people could know what the threat really is all about. Keeping it confidential ("for subscribing members only!!") smacks of a kind of marketing that doesn't sit particularly well.

I think the world of SP2BF, and I'll spend whatever time it takes to reproduce what she found. If she wasn't out of pocket, it'd be easier. I really need to know what software and what copy she was using.
I should probably add to that last post that I have no problem whatsoever with Sean selling access to NEIN. (Before someone flames me for my last comment).
HOWEVER..if there were TRULY something so "major" as "losing a city", I'd think that would warrant full disclosure outside of the subscriber base. Basically, we're talking about National Security here, and that trumps all else, IMHO.
The fact this info is only available with a subscription sure leads one to believe that the "headline" is nothing more than something to increase subscribers.
I say this with all due respect to Sean, incidentally, and reiterate that I have no objection to selling access to the NEIN info - but there are just some things that most would disclose if it were really something THIS urgent - after all, it'd be the story of the century if true.
I have to agree there. It's one thing to subscribe to information that is hard to come by and that involves a lot of work and research. I wouldn't expect to get it for free. But to have to pay to find out if it's my city that's going to be wiped out this week doesn't seem proper. Seems like something you'd want to let your fellow man know about anyway.
