Jill thought it might be significant and asked StillProud to translate. She did, but went through it frame by frame. StillProud mentioned that the material she was working with had 55,000 frames (what her source material was, and the software used, I have no idea).

StillProud stayed up very late doing the translation, and found multiple frames with strange features that would not show if the tape was simply viewed.

As Calpernia said before, what needed to be translated? The subtitles were already there. That's how nwctwx got us the transcript.

I guess we'll have to ask Jill and/or StillProud.

In the meantime, my GUESS is that we're talking about a version of the same tape without subtitles, in Arabic only, that Jill found. At least, that is how I interpret what Jill said.

Yet another possiblity. Lets say that the number is an MD5 code. Is it possible that the program SP was using put the number on her frame for some reason. Maybe to let her know what frame it was. I don't know anything about that MD5 code.
But lets say she had never noticed this and thought it was part of the video when it was not. A very innocent mistake.
What do you think? Sound possible?

Well I'm going out on a limb, but my understanding was that Jill just wanted StillProud to translate it to make sure the subtitles matched the Arabic. SB has mentioned on several occasions finding English versions of Arabic articles & rants that were slightly or significantly different than the original language.

My $.02

Geeeeez you guys...what is REALLY the problem here????? It is not the video, the code, or who found it, is it?

Quite frankly, I am tired of coming under attack. I am tired of the making of mountains out of molehills. And I am sure the hell tired of feeling that I am demanded to post answer.

IT IS NOT ANYONE's business here or anywhere else as to why I needed SP to translate...but I will tell you....

It is no secret that I have had problems opening RAR files. If that is an issue, look at my prior posts from last week or the week before. I had no idea that there were English subtitles on it. I sent it to SP while she was at work and asked her to translate. Bottom line...I knew that it was very important, but could not open it, so I ASSUMED that it needed to be translated. JTTF and her got a copy at the same time.

Now tell me, why does it REALLY matter why I felt the need to get important information out any way that I could???

This constant dissection is really disheartening.

And as far as SP goes....she is not here to respond as she is on a life mission (literally) for a few days. If she cares to explain, that is up to her...but she owes no one any explanation.

If everyone's intent is to drive me away...not a problem...because you all are doing a good job of it.

I am tired of feeling like I am under the knife.
