Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe the International Catholic Jewish Liaison Committee is the official point of contact between the Vatican and the worldwide Jewish community, created as a result of Nostra Aetate's call for dialog between Catholics and the Jewish Community.
It would seem to me to be not only a legitimate forum, but the place where discussions such as this should be taking place.
That is correct. According to their web site,
"Underlying all of Sidic-Roma's work is the call of the Church to understand and esteem the Jewish people as it understands itself, and to deepen Christian faith through the study of the faith of the Jewish people, whom Pope John Paul II referred to as "our elder brothers."
