5 More Arrested In Large Drug Bust
Five more people have been arrested in conjunction with a large-scale drug bust that occurred Wednesday in Haines City and Lake Hamilton, during which four people were arrested and 13 pounds of methamphetamine and 10 pounds of marijuana were seized.
Ivan Vela-Uribe and Adrian Vela-Uribe, 19-year-old twin brothers of 219 W. Nelson St. in Lake Hamilton, were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jorge Perez, 17, of 331 20th St. N. in Haines City, was arrested and transported to the Polk County Juvenile Assessment Center on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jorge Ramirez, 16, of 36 Ash St. in Haines City, was also taken to the juvenile assessment center and charged with possession of a fraudulent resident alien card.
Daniel Antonio-Perez, 29, of 36 Ash St. in Haines City, was found to be an illegal alien. He is being held at the Polk County Jail and will be transported to a federal holding facility.
The drug bust was the largest seizure of illegal narcotics in the county this year.

Prineville Police Arrest Expelled Illegal Alien for Sex Abuse; Victim is 4-Year-old Girl
Jose Concepcion Lopez, 32, was taken into custody shortly after noon at his residence on Northwest Ninth Street following an investigation of alleged abuse, believed to have occurred in recent weeks in Prineville. Lopez was booked into the Crook County Jail on charges of first-degree sex abuse and unlawful sexual penetration.
We are pretty certain about one victim, and we're checking on a second potential victim, Boyd said. It's always tough with little kids. While the investigation continues, police are working with federal immigration officials regarding the suspect's status as an illegal alien.
Boyd said he returned to the United States following a prior expulsion to Mexico for criminal activities.
