Burbank is getting the latest one. Home Depot has an arrangement with the city to pay for its maintenance. I believe Glendale already has one.
BTW, John and Ken's studio just moved to Burbank and they have hinted that they will do a remote from this facility. Since they are appalled over the issue, as most of us are, expect a good old-fashioned FReeping, bullhorn and all.
Glendale's is located on San Fernando Blvd. and run by Catholic Charities or something like that.
Burbank extorted $87,000 a year from Home Depot to allow them to put the illegal immigrant lounge in to prevent the day laborers from congregating on the street. They had over 100 speakers against it, but they still approved it because they are trying to build their way out of their budget hole (i.e. refuse to cut positions)
Of course, the $87,000 was obstensibly to pay for a police officer during the day to monitor the whole situation, but I don't buy that for a second. Also interesting to note there are no day laborers hanging out at the Lowe's on Empire...
