Having sweeps of the streets while allowing defacto illegal employment is quite an insane policy.

That's not the policy supported by John and Ken, so what's your point?

John pressed Hutchison a dozen times this afternoon about Illegal employer sanctions against lawbreakers in CA, and Asa dodged every time.

You need to rethink this one. We want he same ends, but simply don't agree at all on the means, or the moral aspects of harassing in their daily lives those allowed to work illegally defacto.

Have you missed that many of my posts?

As always, I support a Tancredo-style guest worker program which would require applications from the nation of origin. For further incentive, those Illegals now here who don't leave voluntarily would have the option of leaving the other way.

Well, let me make this clear. I oppose sweep of the streets, and support employer sanctions, and national ID cards. Thus I oppose both yours and John and Ken's sweep of the streets policy, period, except in certain selected instances. I think the John, Ken and Saber trio sweep policy will backfire and be counterproductive, and lead to open borders. Of course it will never happen in any event. Only the demonizing of those evil employers of illegals will have any hope of gaining real political traction.

And there you have it.
