There is a difference between freedom of religion and freedom from religion. References to the Judeo-Christian God are found in many of our founding documents. There was a general concept of morality in the foundation of our country.

Well put. We need moral people, regardless of their religious beliefs. In fact the Constitution bans religious tests for office, in the hope that this would increase the moral standards of the political class.. -- Fat chance, of course.

Amen we are on the same page there. Our Country was founded on Judeo Christian values and symbols. One of the values impressed on the document was the state was not to press one specific religion or views on the people. People here would do that. That is NOT in the Constitution just like the ACLU's view of separation of God and government is not in there.
