Who is the victim in this story? It isn't Michelle.

You are not a victim if you choose your bondage.

Certainly, she shares some of the blame, but not all of it.

Regardless, we are our brother's keeper.

"You are not a victim if you choose your bondage."

Michelle is a victim. She was tricked into giving away something for money that was much more precious than money. It cost her her self-respect, her innocence, and her hopes of having a normal marriage.

The men and women who buy the porn are victims. They are tricked into giving up good money in exchange for something that does not satisfy, is not real, and increases their covetousness.

The men and women who produce the movies are victims. They are tricked into selling their souls for money. Making movies that harm both the actors and actresses as well as the audience for monetary gain.

People who have nothing to do with porn are harmed. Women are raped because of the inflamed lusts of the men who purchase it. Women are used for the same reason. Sometimes it's men who are used. Marriages are harmed and destroyed. Kids see their families destroyed. Children are aborted before they ever see the light of day.

You and I end up paying for all the broken pieces. Our taxes go up and we pay for the social programs to help the single mother, the divorced wife, the rape victim, etc. We pay for more police and more social programs to deal with the fall out. And then of course we have to pay for the prisons and the hospital bills.

Those higher taxes decrease our competitiveness overseas, which also costs us. Not only is the collective wealth of the nation drained, but the loss of competitiveness enriches our competitors like China.

Many of the costs are buried. You wouldn't think when you pay that huge health insurance bill that a portion of that is due to the porn industry. But it is.

That's a load of cr*p. The girls in the story are 18 for God sakes and do not realize what they are getting into.

Do they bear some responsibility? Yes. But men who recruit them are older and far more culpable. They are also aware these young girls are being destroyed before their very eyes and they could care less.
