I saw the President, introduced by the First Lady, in Kalamazoo this afternoon. The Stadium probably holds about 8 thousand and I would guess there were more than 6 thousand. (But I am horrible at these guesses and of course I am being conservative.)

President Bush was great, though his appearance later in the evening looked a lot better orchestrated, much as I remember the 2000 events. The crowd was energized and there were lots of standing ovations. Word in Michigan is that Kerry is up 46-44 which I consider to be great news for the President in a state that has really been hard hit by job losses.
