The journalist Laura Rozen is trying to make sense of the African-uranium issue. (Nothing about Terrance Wilkinson, though... Mostly, she's sorting out what the various intelligence agencies have said to the investigative commissions about the nature of their sources.)

My pet theory is that the Libyan nuclear program was a sting, aimed mainly at Iraq, and that the back-and-forth on Iraq, Niger, and African uranium emerged from the attempt to keep this hidden. As for Hatfill and the anthrax, I generally accept the old 'Great Satan' theory that Hatfill is just a lightning rod, put in place so that the national-security strategists could decide what to do about the anthrax threat in secret.

I was wondering about that possiblity for a long time, but Hatfill is now suing Kristof, which would seem to be an indicator otherwise.
