I read the whole thread and JMO, the posters over there have their own debate, which is vitriol and insults.
The have more animus towards Jim Robinson than John Kerry.
But what the hey, if you think that people whose main beef is against the Pubbies rather than liberal demos are conservative, that's your right to have. No one is shouting you down or throwing insults at you, I'm questioning your point that these people actually advance conservatism in the real world.
I agree. If some of the FR-haters at LP put half as much energy into advancing conservatism as bashing Jim Robinson, our country would benefit greatly. Then again, I could say the same about some posters here, who invest more energy in hurling insults than supporting any particular cause. I'd advise people on both sites to understand that people will see things differently, and the best thing to do is concentrate on your objectives rather than being consumed by hatred for another internet personality. We're talking about online chat - not a life and death situation, and people shouldn't get so emotionally invested.

You'll notice that my #33 was directed at people of all political persuasions. I'll give you an example: Poohbah told me he was "awakened" to the fact that third-party support is detrimental by someone who was relentlessly brutal, and as a result he's adopted the same attitude (Poohbah, I hope I was relatively accurate on your position). I disagree with his tactics, but I understand where he's coming from.
Presumably most of us here are trying to advance conservatism - the methods we utilize are up to us. Different folks have different perspectives on how to do so. Some would shut down criticism; others would claim it strengthens those at whom it's directed. It's just a matter of perspective. Hopefully the net effect of all approaches is a more conservative nation, although I sometimes wonder...
That's because 90% of the posters over there are Libertarians. They screech like hell because Jim took away the ONLY avenue they had to execute their agenda...destroying the Republican party. Now all they got is Watchtower.
