>>What many don't realize is that European colonization gave the "original citizens" the ONLY culture that has ever succeeded there. If it wasn't for that, the "original citizens" would still be eating each other for dinner and sacrificing their children to the "Gods".<<

Do you have evidence that blacks in South Africa sacrificed their children and practised cannibalism before European colonization? Or are you just making the stuff up, based on your personal opinions of blacks?

I have certainly not heard of cannibalism and child sacrifice being practised in South Africa. Cannibalism has been reported in New Guinea in the Pacific, while child sacrifice took place among the Aztecs. But I have never heard of such things happening in South Africa as a cultural practice.

"Or are you just making the stuff up, based on your personal opinions of blacks?"

What makes you assume that I *HAVE* an opinion on blacks?

I deal with and judge people on an individual basis.

Do a little research and you will find that some tribes in Africa, as well as here in the pre-Columbus America did indeed practice cannibalism. You already mentioned South America. I would not be surprised to find that "Caucasians"
had also practiced it in areas.

This was NOT meant to denigrate ANYONE. It was my choice of words, (perhaps a poor one in retrospect), to illustrate to the person to whom it was posted the folly of assuming an old culture is necessarily "better" than a newer one. Please do not take it out of context.

The original post to which I was responding implied that genocide was a reasonable reaction by those who WERE oppressed to those that had oppressed them.

Apartheid was NOT a good thing. It should never have happened and was rightly dismantled. Nevertheless, to coin an old phrase "two rights don't make a wrong".

If my remarks were offensive to you, please accept my apology. I will be more careful choosing my words in the future.
