I only know one thing. Rumsfeld would never allow those conditions for our military. I don't know where you've been getting your information, but men from Iraq have posted here on FR that none of what you've said is true. And .. as a matter of fact, I happened to see a congressional hearing the other day and a top military guy was saying that EVERY soldier in Iraq now has the new protective gear they need.

If you want the truth .. go to the Pentagon website and look it up instead of just spewing garbage.

I watched the hearings and the shortage of vests was acknowledged by Gen. Myers and he said they expected to have it rectified, with all soldiers having inserts for their vests, by February, 2004.
