If Bush loses in November, the Democrats will take the House and the Senate.

Did I mention that Kerry would appoint the next Chief Justice to the Supreme Court. And that would be.

William Jefferson Clinton.

The only way Kerry wins is if Bill and Hillary don't try to defeat him. HIllary wants the nomination in 2008.

The only way for Kerry to stop that is to promise to make Bill Clinton Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Don't think they don't have the FBI files to get it done.

I don't agree. And even if it were true, Clinton would never get through the Senate hearings.

Never.

5{ers are finally out in force today, and it's about time; when John F-in' Kerry takes the oath next January with their help, THEN they can get this country back on track! No doubt about it- 90% of the 1%ers are right here, madder than Howard Dean and just as delusional. FR looks to be just as entertaining as it was four years ago, with the true believers partying like it's 1999.

Once again, I expect a damn close race with little help from the reactionary utopians. If GWB loses the WH, the GOP can kiss both houses of congress goodbye, and all the hopeful prognosticating will be worth less than Joe Lieberman's momentum.

Uhhh, is that prediction as guaranteed as the one you made that Trent Lott would resign?

Just asking.

Maybe not. If Kerry gets in and has a "do-nothing" Republican congress to win off of, Hillary might see that Kerry is going to have a good time and win the congress back from the obstructionist Republicans.

So she might take the Chief Justice spot herself. Lots could happen before 2012 and she'd be pretty old by then anyway.

Well stated, but the Bush Bashers and Conservative Purists are more concerned with "sending a message"!

Do you realize how much of a political S***STORM that would create. I know of full scale wars that have been started over less.

I seriously doubt that Kerry would appoint Clinton as SC Justice, seeing as Clinton will surely try to derail Kerry's candidacy. I'd be surprised if Clinton would actually want the job. It involves little if any politicking, and requires intense concentration, which is not his strong suit.

Plus, in no way would Hillary squash her own Presidential ambitions in exchange for Bill getting on the Supreme Court. She wants to be President, period, with or without Bill.

Finally - and this is most important - the nomination of Bill Clinton to the U.S. Supreme Court would cause a shattering uproar the likes of which have rarely been seen in Washington. Even Senate Republicans, who usually play by the Marquis de Queensbury rules, would be forced by a deafening conservative outcry to filibuster the nomination. He would never get confirmed. Probably he wouldn't even get out of committee.

The FBI files the Clintons possibly have are ten years old. I just don't believe anymore that these files are the Clinton's key to power. They may not even be useful to them anymore.

I AGREE WITH YOU.

I don't understand any seriously, genuinely conservative folks even imagining getting anywhere without Bush.

Guess I just don't believe he's 1/100th the shade of evil many fellow Believers seem to think he is. Thankfully, I think more Believers think otherwise.

But, even IF HE WERE some flavor of lesser evil, NO WAY do we want a HYPORAT appointing any more justices to even dog catcher!!!

Bill Clinton as SC justice. I don't see that happening but we live in strange times.

He doesn't scare me as much as her. I don't think he is so driven by ideology as she. He is whatever he needs to be at that moment.

Why yes, the old , "Stay in the frying pan because the fire is so much worse." trick.

I still haven't heard Bush even try to explain to his former supporters of the Conservative persuasion just what the *%&$ he's doing!
