Well, conservatives ARE the base, and a whole lot of people need to start remembering that. Can't or won't argue the fact that this thread was trouble from the beginning

I'm sorry, but a majority of those "conservatives" sure as hell soundedlike advocates from MoveOn.org . How can you chase off a base if the alleged base is loudly and obnoxiously screaming about opting out. Everyone of them acted like the held the true answer,Now some are even trashing their new saint,Tom Tancredo. .They are not conservatives, they are populists with a strong bent for totalitarianism.They offer no solution other than punishment.They also never respond to logic or reason.

If you worry over those hurt feelings of an unappeasable minority, then you'll worry yourself into an ulcer.

You're ignorant of the true nature of the majority of the GOP, and your rant to me is a fine illustration of what I was talking about when I talked about those who are doing as much damage to the GOP as those who are choosing to leave it.
