Allow me to say it yet again, all of this is melting ice cream. What gain is anything he does if we end up under international law, that's where he's pushing us, read the FTAA treaty, listen to your Supreme Court saying right out loud that they are studying international law and when it conflicts with the Constitution, the Constitution will have to give way.

Sure, at first it will have mostly to do with trade, but anyone that has an idea above a cat knows that international law will become more invasive as time passes. There is no bill of rights in international law, no right to bear arms, no freedom of speech or religion, and no habeous corpus.

Add to that a new 12 million strong democrat voting bloc in the guise of amnesty for illegals and you can take up goose stepping lessons because that will be the new dance.

I remember back to a few short years ago when Clinton would send the entire site into a frenzy every time he sneezed. That tended to fool me into thinking the majority on this site were really conservative. Bush does worse and now there is alot of crabbing sideways, mincing words, and making excuses like "the republican party isn't ALL conservative". What happened? Did all wake to find the left/socialist side of their brains? Socialism isn't so evil after all now is it. Depends upon who is dispensing it.

It is not an excuse, MAP. It's the truth.

The Republican party has NEVER been completely conservative.

In my lifetime......was Eisenhower conservative? Was Nixon conservative? Was Agnew Conservative? Was Rockefeller conservative? Was Ford conservative? NO, to all of the above, and they were the standard bearers for the party.

Barry Goldwater was the only nominee running as a conservative before Reagan, and he got tromped in the national election.

I will repeat it because it's the truth. The REPUBLICAN party has NEVER been completely conservative.

NOTHING has changed.

EXACTLY. I flatly state that the Bush alien-amnesty is (by definition) treason.

Funny thing, though; the die-hard Bush followers who expect blind loyalty, all seem strangely silent when I challenge them to prove me wrong...

Why is this, do you think?
