Fwiw, Michael Savage is a terrible voice for conservatism. One could very easily make a case that he is a racist. He was recently caught wishing a caller he believed to be gay that he hopes he gets AIDS and dies. He is a defender of Slobodan Milosevic, who is a socialist. He might not be anti-Christian, but as a Christian, I would have a hard time defending giving Michael Savage my time or defense.

I remember his defenind the original gay remark althoough I never heard the remark he originally made. I can't really recall what he said about it.

Do you remember Alan Burke? He ran a TV talk show years ago. He was an exceptionally irrascible liberal who was really obnoxious to his conservative guests and also to members of the audience who were allowed to come to a microphone and question him or his guest. Burke frequently wnet down the microphone himself to get n the face of conservatives who particularly riled him. I remember one episode in which he did this where they cut the film! The audience member he was harassing actually CLOCKED him!!
(Burke was a beared old goat with a cigar or cigarette who should have known better than to face to face bait people the way he did. He got was coming to him.)

They had another guy on around the same time who was a conservative, Joe Pyne. He ran a similar show, but Pyne never got up to confront audience members - he was a parapalegic veteran who was wounded in the service. I remember his favorite retort was "Go gargle with razor blades!!"

The point is, we shouldnj't confuse genuine political mind and spokesmen with entertainers. Nobody takes Savage seriously. He's entertainment. If liberals bring him up, laugh in their faces. He's irrelevant, politically speaking, and they know it. The Libs have their own guys like him on the radio. Since I don't need the aggrevation I don't listen to them.
