Undoubtedly meant in jest, but the reality is that crapping (and ditch digging, and hotel bed changing, and produce) would get a little more expensive. You might need to pay more for food, and pay toilets might get more expensive. You might have the option to save $15 on hotel stays for each day you allow your room to go un-made-up.
But medical care, taxes, etc. would be cheaper, and we would be better able to preserve our culture.

Shoot, who's gonna be the Catholic priests? So few Americans are going into the priesthood (about half the number 30 years ago) that some areas are having to bring in priests from other countries, particularly -- hold your breath -- Latin countries. Apparently this is truly a job that Americans don't want now.
