"Incestigating" is an attitude and expression beneath contempt and deserves no response.
Yeah, but they have to change the words to some of the best hymns. I've probably told this story, but...
When we were attending the PCA church, the first time we sang "To God be the Glory" wife and I got a little confused. The way Fanny Crosby wrote it the first verse says.
"And opened the lifegate that all may go in."
From years of music ministry we have that (and many other) hymns memorized, so we sang it that way.
But in the Trinity hymnal it reads:
"And opened the lifegate that we may go in."
Wife and I never sang it that way. ;-)
(BTW, I love the James Ward melody for Rock of Ages)
I will be honest with you. When I read that I took it to mean something about your disdain for mormons and JW's and playing off the word "incest."
Therefore, without even reading of Vern's objection to it, that's what I thought. So I agree with Vern.
However, Wrigs thinks that isn't what you meant.
If you affirm that it was a typo and unintended, then I know you well enough to know you wouldn't lie about something like that.
Vern, Carepubgal is a mormon convert. I'd believe her on this if she says it was a typo.
As for Mormonism, I would tell kids to ask Mormons 'CTD's famous three questions for Mormons'. Works every time it's tried. Even drstevej thinks they are brilliant.
must be a southern appalachia term LOL
