By any chance... do you know who proposed these roll backs in Veteran benifits? My guess it was a proposal by a entrenched liberal who didn't agree with Anthony Principi's plan to extend these benifits to begin with.
Common sense tells me that after all what President Bush has done for our Troops and our Vetereans since he's been in office, this is just another attempt to cut into the support he has among our veterans and our troops.
These reporters have an agenda, and anyone who thinks they don't, I have a bridge to sell you.
My Sister-in-law, who lives with us, is a social worker at the VA Hospitol in Washington D.C. and she tells me that never before has the VA and the Military been paid this much attention, and she has worked there for almost 30 years
I don't know --- when I read it --- since I'm not a veteran or a much of a believer in medicines, it didn't bother me much --- but I haven't heard the reaction of some of the veterans here to this proposal. I'm fine with letting everyone pay for their own drugs --- even if they were willing once to die for this country.
I paid a lot of money into Social Security --- and I don't think anyone needs to be changing that into an international or binational program. Especially when it comes to giving a monthly check to anyone who might claim to have used a stolen Social Security number for a year or two to work here. What happens if 4 or 5 all claim to have used the same stolen number 40 years ago? None can prove they did --- so will all get a check?
Why doesn't Vicente use some of Mexico's own great and vast wealth to set up a Social Security program for these people if he wants one so badly? Some of that oil they have socialized would work pretty nicely at getting a program started --- it doesn't always just have to go into the pockets of a very few.
