Same here --- I see no good reason for prosperity to completely end at the Mexican border. Immigration isn't helping the situation at all --- things are becoming more unstable as everyone is packing up their bags and no one is planning to stay, work, invest, retire --- they aren't fixing up their schools, they aren't improving their health care, they aren't doing much of anything but waiting for the monthly check to roll in from relatives working here.
I don't believe Fox has made any plans to improve the situation in Mexico, his only agenda seems to be to drastically increase how many come to the USA, and to demand more and more from the USA. I've never seen anything he's offered us in exchange, I've never seen him push through any reforms in that country.
Ignoring them isn't the answer either. It's too bad that Mexico can't follow Chile's example. Chile is the only Latin American economy that isn't a basket case.
