Very true BUT I have seen this more often in the case of ALCOHOLICS who are more numerous than non liquid drug addicts

I include alcoholics in the drug addicted category. There is little difference. In fact, it would be helpfull to the alcholic if we regulated it like we regulated controlled drugs. The threat of enforcement would reduce the number and severity of cases. Families and society would have better tools available to to bring a quicker end to the self destructive behavior.

I'm in recovery, over 14 years, a recovering drug addict. Drugs effect everyone differently to some degree, as for me, I've done many different types of drugs, alcohol was for me, the worse drug I ever did. Alcohol is a drug, in order to have success in recovery we must abstain from using ALL drugs. I wonder if Rush still has his "adult beverages". For my cousin, nicotine was the worse drug he ever did, he died of lung cancer at 41. Nictoine is so powerful, this drug is not addressed when dealing with addicts, if an addict had to give up nicotine also, he'd never give up the others. A drug is a drug is drug, whether you smoke it, drink it, shoot it, no matter how you deliver it to your system.
