FTAA The Real Reason our Borders remain un-secure

"Why are so many immigration threads being sent to the backroom?"

I don't understand the move to the backroom either. I thought that was reserved for when a thread got too heated to be rated G or PG any more. I don't see that on this thread although I have on occasion seen the immigration threads get a little carried away. Perhaps the moderator can answer that question.

Unfortunately, I think it is going to take another big attack before the people in this country decide to start screaming about the borders. Right now I fear that most of them think 911 was a fluke, a one time occurrence, and that it probably won't happen again.

This can be evidenced even on this forum. When a warning is issued, the same guys rush to the thread to make fun of the entire homeland security terror warnings, etc. They are more worried that they might lose a right than they are about our security.

If the American people would get angry enough, and take this seriously enough in great numbers, THEN whoever is in office would do something. Until then, it will stay status quo.

The dims want the borders open because of the fact that the immigrants generally vote democratic, and because they are so brainwashed that we are a "global community" and to be nationalist is evil.

The Pubbies know that if they even think about trying to get real tough , the outcry will be deafening from the left, and frankly, they most likely feel our borders are so long it is nearly impossible to keep them from coming across.

The INS was almost totally rendered useless during the Clinton administration, and we all know why. Now Homeland security is playing catchup trying to even find out who is here illegally much less where they are. And frankly, politics enter into the equation with the pubbies also, because they also want to get elected, naturally.

Sorry for the length, but I do think it is important to realize that it is up to the people in this country to get serious enough about the illegal alien crisis we have to get the politicians to move off their PC butts and do something. They will have to feel their positions are in danger if they do not. Until then, we are just sitting ducks, no matter who is in office, although, history will tell us the dims are much worse on this issue.

Don't jump on someone just because they are rich. I know lots of folks who became wealthy and maintained their honesty and integrity while doing so.

Wealthy politicians do seem to carry the burden of having to "open the books" to the public, where others don't.

Of course, in my opinion, anyone who is wealthy and runs for office is just looking for the ultimate "power over the people" rush.

"All men having power ought to be distrusted to a certain degree."
-- James Madison in The Federalist

"Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide."
-- John Adams, letter to John Taylor, April 15, 1814

I think the suicidal days are upon us. Refusing to admit the illness will result in our death as a democracy.

Great Rant! I think you're correct in mentioning the UN's Agenda 21; that all started around 1981 in La Paz. It is a complex agenda that compromises our sovereignty one more time.

The article I wrote doesn't discuss my views of terroism, only our Presidents lack of concern for maintaining America as a Republic.

To close the borders because of a terrorist attack will not contain the preoccupation with socialist fantasy, i.e. progressive Dream Programs that are currently underway.

Thank you, however I am still confined to the "sleazy side of town", The Smokey Backroom, where it takes guts to even respond to threads. Are people afraid of being shunned by the FR elite?

Don't jump on someone just because they are rich.

I wasn't jumping on anyone for being rich. I was responding to part of what you said in Post 30.

"It could be "favors" are owed or even a little blackmailing going on. My deepest suspicion has to do with cold hard cash. The RNC was bragging about how Bushs' re-election campaign funds are spilling out of the bucket. I don't recall how many millions he has available but theres quite a few. So, are corporations donating to the fund in order to get their names onto the Iraq contact list?"
The article I referred to was about the connections the Bush family has to wealthy ("cold hard cash") businessmen, a lot of them Mexican nationals. That could be where some of Bush's contributions are coming from. It could also explain Bush's non-action when it comes to Mexico. Maybe it's his family ties to old or current business partners that keeps him from doing what I believe he should do, which is to close the borders.

Anyway, it was just a thought (or a bit of a little conspiracy theory).

Call from RNC

That is to funny!!!

I have been getting requests from Club for Growth, which at one time I really liked. But until they start asking the candiates, whether they will do something about the illegal invasion, I will not donate any more money to any candiate.
They are asking for money for a Californian , State Senator Rico Oller, running for the open seat of Rep Doug Ose.

"I just wish the sheeple in this country would realize what's happening."

I don't want the "stand in line" sheeples, I'm looking for people who will fight to stand at the front. They are the only ones who will make the effort to educate the ignorant. Being afraid that you might lose a few 'friends' for speaking your mind is considered too great a risk for too many on this website. I'll follow the crowd, eunuch and coward come to mind very frequently when reading their posts.

With his father behind him I doubt that any illegal funds are making it to the re-election fund. If there are any I would presume they are being used privately to promote him.
