Pennace: A thousand "Hail Darbys" (not 999 nor 1001, but precisely 1000)I can no more "Hail Darby" than I can "Hail" any mortal man, even John Calvin or Augustine himself. I beg permission to say instead, "Darby had his good points".
Darby had his good points. Darby had his good points. Darby had his good points. Darby had his good points. Darby had his good points. Darby had his good points. Darby had his good points. THERE. Precisely 1,000 (not 999 nor 1001, but precisely 1000) "Darby had his good points" rendered in Penance to the good Pre-Millennial Calvinist Fathers of the Plymouth Brethren Church.
I am able to swallow my pride; I hear and obey. (while reserving the Right to contest the matter of Eschatology at the next Calvinist Ecumenical Council, concerning Matters of Lesser Importance).

Erica Cain (Kain?)(Kane) (Cain't)....
Does that mean I'm in if I can become yesterday's sorta pretty woman?
Sorry, but there's no fixin' this face. (With Cher and BraBra Streisand, Erica's face has been lifted more often than cars at Firestones. When she smiles the hair on top of her head wrinkles up.)
I think I'm an official reject. I'll try to come up with another scam, but I'm running out of ideas.

Application for inclusion in the GRPL should be accompanied by a suitable historical quote. "[The false proposition] that heretics be burned is against the will of the Spirit ... is ... in opposition to Catholic truth." (Leo X, Exsurge Domine, 33)
Hmmm ...
On second thought, toss the application Fishiness.

I must redefine the idea of "grace" from the understood "unmerited favor" to something God gives somebody. In this way, I can please the Romanist community and their "infusion" of "grace" and I can sound Biblical at the same time. Interesting admission. "Real" Protestants are quite happy lacking infused grace then? So no infused faith, hope, and charity for you?

You're a few shy. Ciphering wasn't your major was it? (spelling wasn't mine)
Nevertheless, you are fully absolved. Pope Piel grants an indulgence for the balance and the ammended version.
The right to contest at the next CEC is reserved, provided the rapture doesn't come first.
[excuse me, I must go flagellate myself for violating my own strictures.]

Leo X, meet John Huss. He's the one with the crispy brown ears and barbeque sauce on his forehead.
Hermann, I regret not being able to act on your application. Perhaps you would like to serve as the Catholic Raucus' official observer for the thread.

With all that benign tolerance towards Amyrauldian dissent, you'll have to include the Thomists:
A Thomistic TULIP
T = Total inability (to please God without special grace)
U = Unconditional election
L = Limited intent (for the atonement's efficacy)
I = Intrinsically efficacious grace (for salvation)
P = Perseverance of the elect (until the end of life).

Your Mercy is unbounded, your Fishiness.

I think I'm an official reject. I'll try to come up with another scam, but I'm running out of ideas.
This reminds me of the man who came to Jesus on his own terms but soon found Jesus' terms were not what he had in mind. Matthew 19
"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"
Jesus responded by saying, "Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
He saith unto him, "Which?" Jesus said, "Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
The young man saith unto him, "All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?"
Jesus said unto him, "If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
Just some food for thought. :)

My quote was: 38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. 39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. 40 For he that is not against us is on our part., 41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. But the works do not save ,
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Rom 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Rom 15:6 That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
