We are a nation of men who make laws. And the bible defends the laws by telling us to follow the laws of the land.

Then you do not know our history. Look up the origin of Lex Rex - do a google search. It came from Samuel Rutherford. The reason we have a Constitution is to prevent MEN from governing by FIAT or whim. It is the law of the land and no man can change it. The people can change it ONLY by amendment. Law is king. Get it?

It doesn't seem to be stopping them from doing it regardless of the Constitution. See the smoking bans going up all over the US for example. See the seatbelt laws. See the drug laws. See the fact that abortion is legal. I hate all those things, but men made those laws without any regard for the constitution and we are letting them get away with it. We are electing people into high ranking positions just because they have an R next to their name without looking closer to see if they really are worthy of our support. It's party over policy and it's not getting us where we need to be. (and of course, this has been said over and over but no one ever listens)
