The issue is how? If we try to force conservativism on the general population, they will reject it as too extreme. Imagine, for example, 50 years ago, proposing the idea of gay marriages would have been unheard of. We didn't get this way overnight. And we will not be able to force the middle section of politics to think this way in a few short years. We have to keep working on it.

Using the republican party to advance conservativism is just a start. I have friends who believe everything coming out of ABC, CBS, NBC, et al. Only when I forward them fr articles, and talk to them to they start seeing the truth. Can you imagine, the democrats going the way of the Whig party, and then, subdividing the republican party into a true conservative party? Then, we will have a better opportunity to roll back years and years of oppression by the liberals.

Directly.

If an elected president stood in front of a camera and told you that government was way too big, and that he intended to reduce it to it's constitutionally mandated size incrementally over the course of his presidency... how many people who actually pay taxes do you think would balk?
