First and foremost, one must keep in mind that this is not reality; this is an Internet bulletin board, an electronic forum.

The second thing to keep in mind is how funny all this talk from people who are using a fake name about why other people should not use a fake, fake name truly is.

And the reality of it all when you get right down to it, is that those who use their real name, meaning the same name that's on their birth certificate, are the ones who truly have nothing to hide. I’ve had a lot of people tell me that they use pseudonyms when they post here for fear of suffering repercussions as a result of their opinions; imagine that. Freedom is a word that’s constantly bandied about in FR, the need to be free, to defend our freedom, But I propose that if you fear repercussions from speaking your mind openly, and you hide as a result of that fear, you have already given up your freedom!

It's a fun place FR. We learn here, we entertain ourselves here, we develop friendships here, and we stay informed. Occasionally, we organize ourselves into action, and I will admit that FR has been instrumental in getting me involved, I mean REALLY involved. I have participated in events that I may have not otherwise participated in, but it's still only an Internet bulleting board. True, and to Jim's credit, and I am sure that many worked hard to make this the best bulleting board that I have ever come across, but it’s only a bulletin board nevertheless, and Jim owns it.

Maybe one day, he’ll get sick of me and toss me off, his right. I guarantee you that I will survive, and that you will not find me hanging about with some obsessed gaggle of lost souls talking about how the place sucks.

I’ll leave that to Toddler and the Legends.

Luis, many of us used "nick names" when we registered as it was just sort of an "Internet" kind of thing to do. I liked your comments however, about being free to express your thoughts as you think and express them.
