Anyone who knows me, knows I am not an anti-semite. I have never made any comment that can be construed as anti-semetic or endorsed any such positions. Period. Criticism of the Israeli government is NOT ANTI-SEMETISM prima facie. Just as every participant on this board rightly ripped Clinton to shreds, it didn't make us Anti-American. Reasoned examination of the government is necessary for a healthy state. I think in my case, the debate was to what extent the claim against me was factually correct and the consequences of pulling it or let it stand. The implication was false, but factually, elements of it were true. I will state for the record, that Mercuria is not anti-semetic, I have never had any experience with her to support that or seen any direct evidence either.

This is precisely the kind of nonsense I'm talking about.

You'll find no greater defender of "jews" in the face of ethnicly motivated criticism than I.

But I oppose US aid to Israel, and I oppose Israeli subjugation of Palestinians (just as I oppose Palestinian suicide bombers).

But because some people are so emotionally bound to their support of Israel, they cannot even concieve of a critic of Israel who is not anti-semitic. (or worse yet, they cannot let an opportunity go by to attempt to smear a critic of Israel as anti-semitic)

I believe you - but the very fact that this thread exists is proof that the FR system can be 'reflective' in a Borgian sort of sense - FR is the very type of a dynamic, self-correcting polity, whose citizenry are as free as can be imagined to 'politic' with others of a similar persuasion.

Having a 'King' makes life simpler for us - we are free to simply opine away without responsibility for the physical or moderating infrastructure.

It may not be Utopia, but it's certainly livable, in my opinion.

No doubt there are Anti-Semites who hate Israel, but it is clear to me that you hold a specific and consistent position about US foreign aid. It's not a "jew" thing, it is a foreign policy thing.

Of course it is much easier for one to be called an Anti-Semite than it is to justify US policy on foreign aid. But you knew that....;^)

We ban liberals and other leftists all the time. Jim doesn't want this forum to be a place to debate them.

Nor should this site be a sounding board for their ideas. And I think the mods on this forum have done an outstanding job in keeping this site on track.

Libertarians ask the right questions (although their answers are usually utopian/outlandish/pro-drug-agenda), and because of this they work well with this forum. Liberals, OTOH, almost without exception, base their opinions on feelings and thus they are incapable of intelligent discourse.

Liberals and socialists are a cancer and would ruin this site faster than they run this country. If a liberal wishes to discuss things intelligently, I observe that the mods do not interfere. However, all liberals who attempt intelligent discussion on this forum always end up promoting conservatism because their arguments do not hold up well under scrutiny.

Jim was asked if he wanted links to Original Dissent up, given how that forum had evolved. Then the question was what to do about user profiles that had a link to it. Hers was one that did, and also had a link to Carol on the Web, for example.

I was banned in 2001, for posting a harmless photograph (which the moderator interpreted as something other than what it was).

My account was reinstated, and the Admin Mod apologized for the improper action.

I was banned (suspended actually) just a couple months ago, for questioning the existence of God, using words almost exactly like those described.

For you to go off and drag up a bunch of unrelated stuff, is disingenous at best.

I got as good as I gave in those particular exchanges (far worse actually).

Actually, an honest mistake. I'll be glad to take those down. You said you were banned, and I took the info from when you were banned. You meant you were suspended- I didn't go there because that isn't what you said.
