One thing is certain, the libs smear campaign is at its peak right now.
I hope for all of our sakes that it's going to go back on the defensive soon. This stuff is just making me sick.

Since this seems to be a homecoming reunion of sorts, I have a few questions.
But, you must understand why I am asking. As you remember, I was your most annoying poster when you arrived from LDot. Why? Because I had been here since '98 being told to save bandwidth, no double posting, no chatting etc.....
And then yall flew in and started piling up thousands of posts just chatting away. And yall said what a wonderful forum you had found that allowed you the freedom to do so.
And so Jim Rob and I went round and round. He and I were posting on the Prodigy Boards at the same time, before he started FR.
I finally asked him to ban me permanently from FR because I was so frustrated with yall. He did. But he took me back saying that he was going to introduce a new forum for chatters called General Interest.
That is when I lost track of yall, until recently.
But, I would be very interested to know what happened to some posters...Darlin' and her love, Wings of Gold, Letitring and others.
I don't even watch soaps, but I have always been curious about this forum.
LOL

Rush resigns from ESPN
LIMBAUGH STEPS DOWN AT ESPN: "My comments this past Sunday were directed at the media and were not racially motivated. I offered an opinion. ... I love Sunday NFL Countdown. I do not want to be a distraction to all those who work on it. ... I have decided to resign. ... I wish all the best to those who make it happen."

MEDIA MATTERS
National Enquirer to accuse Rush of 'drug abuse'
Drudge claims tabloid, N.Y. Daily News to splash attacks on talk-host tomorrow

One day after the national press hammered Rush Limbaugh for his comment that a black star football player is overrated, the National Enquirer and New York Daily News are set to splash tomorrow's front pages with allegations that radio's top talker has abused drugs, according to the Drudge Report.
" 'RUSH LIMBAUGH IN DRUG RING'... HOUSEKEEPER WORE WIRE IN SET-UP, SUPPLIED PAIN PILLS TO DEAF TALKSHOW HOST ... ENQUIRER ALLEGES ABUSE OF TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PILLS," headlines Drudge. "NEW YORK DAILY NEWS SET TO SPLASH PAGE ONE THURSDAY, NEWSROOM SOURCES TELL DRUDGE." There is no story accompanying the sensational headlines.
The most listened-to radio talk-show host in history, syndicated in more than 650 markets worldwide, Limbaugh insisted today there was "no racist intent whatsoever" in his comment that the media have overrated Philadelphia Eagles' Donovan McNabb because they want to see a black quarterback succeed, reported the Associated Press.
Limbaugh is a commentator for ESPN, whose spokesman Dave Nagle said he doesn't think Limbaugh's remarks were racist. "He was comparing McNabb's performance on the field to his reputation in the media," Nagle said, according to AP.
Despite the media furor over the conservative icon's sports remarks, Limbaugh said on today's show: "This is such a mountain out of a molehill. There's no racism here, there's no racist intent whatsoever."
Gen. Wesley Clark, the would-be time-traveling Democratic presidential candidate, got into the act, insisting Limbaugh should be fired and calling the talk-show host's remarks "hateful and ignorant speech."
The sensational "deaf talk-show host" drug-abuse headline is a reference to the fact that Limbaugh announced in October 2001 that he was getting increasingly deaf unable to hear callers, radio, television or music.
"I have lost my ability to hear," he said then, but "I have not lost my ability to communicate."
Limbaugh's announcement sent shockwaves through the broadcasting industry and the nation. President Bush expressed personal concern about Limbaugh's condition with senior staff.
"The president noted Rush Limbaugh is a national treasure," said one senior White House staffer.
Limbaugh had been steadily losing his hearing, he told his shocked audience. "I am, for all practical purposes, deaf," Limbaugh said.
Fortunately, in December 2001, ''Limbaugh underwent successful cochlear implant surgery, which largely restored his hearing.

SOCIAL SECURITY
A retired gentleman went to the social security office to apply for Social Security.
The woman behind the counter asked him for his driver's license to verify his age. He looked in his pockets and realized he had left his wallet at home.
He told the woman that he was very sorry but he seemed to have left his wallet at home.
"I will have to go home and come back later."
The woman says, "Unbutton your shirt."
So he opens his shirt revealing curly silver hair.
She says, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me," and she processed his Social Security application.
When he gets home, the man excitedly tells his wife about his experience at the social security office.
She says, "You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability too!"
