I got picked for a jury once, and dismissed once.

The time I was picked was for a second degree murder case where a guy shot someone with a shot gun from 3' away.

You should have seen the pics of the body.

Scary stuff.

I had to admit I gained some respect for our system of a jury of 12 citizens. I lost a little for the court system, suspecting there was evidence that was not allowed.

I find I come here after getting flamed or annoyed by some humorless types on other threads to relax.

Got picked for jury duty here in New York.
It was a high money case that had a divorce going on.
Both sides settled as we were being sworn in.
I guess they heard I was coming.

This was about a drug revange killing .. they interview EVERY sinking person there When they got to me I had such a headache it wasn't funny .. I told them I had a hard time understanding what the Judge was saying because of my hearing problem

Then they asked me about my feeling on drugs .. I told them I didn't like drugs, I didn't like the drug killing, I didn't like the people that were doing it .. they Judge asked me to explain why I felt that way .. I said, just because I do

They didn't pick me for the jury .. I'm SHOCKED
