The fire situation is TERRIBLE. Last night we sat on our deck and watched the other side of Kelowna burn!! My Doctor and his wife were evacuated and I'm not sure if theirs is one of the houses that burned down or not. The wind whipped up and we could watch the fire racing along the mountain side and then come down the mountain to the residential areas. The whole city is socked in with smoke. Almost unbreathable. They are forcasting a big wind today!! UGH!!

"he told me the only reason he didn't fire me was because my punishment was to keep working for him." Maybe that's the reason my boss hasn't fired me. LOL!

Sorry to hear you're so close to the fires. I remember all the devastation in Colorado last year. Stay safe. Maybe there'll be rain soon.

That one is a little other-worldly, isn't it?
That Morning Glory could take over the inside of that trellis real easy, and in the fall a tower of Morning Glory would be rather cute.
Course, that's just one quick impressionistic take on the pic, it is very pertty.

I moved to Cedar Park, just NW of Austin.... 90 miles south of Waco.

This new place is a little 'other worldly' already. I was picked as the 'employee for the spotlight' this month, I think it was cause I chatted the receptionist up a bit by the Coffee Machine and she gets to choose.
Next, my little black-belt daughter is off to a 6 day karate expo and beach holiday in Los Angeles with a few friends, she is just having the time of her life.
Painting a fence is on my list for tonight and Saturday, I'm pulling out an old one that kids can just look over now, and replacing it with a tall plank one.
I've come up with a new term -- Microsophistry -- to explain Microsoft's attitude toward software users. It goes something like this, "We have got so many things and so much software, how could you even think there are some things we could do better?"

Thanks Nully, this is a very unique situation. I'm not sure that it has ever happened like this here before. The conditions are just brutal. Now, if you look at my homepage, and read a letter to the editor you will see how the lovely insurance companies are trying to NOT renew peeople's insurance. The insurance companies are even affecting us. We do Mortgages and conveyances for people buying homes and now the local insurance brokers can't issue insurance, therefore, the Banks do NOT advance the Mortgage funds. Bottom line, the deal is stalled!! ARRGGH!!

Thanks Jim. That is EXACTLY what we were watching last night. Except we could see the fire line galloping along the mountain side. It was a raging inferno. Now the wind is starting to pick up again.!!
